First Missionary Baptist Church Mission Statement

The Mission of the First Missionary Baptist Church is to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20

Enabled by God’s grace, we are sowing seeds of God’s love, growing into faithful Christ followers, and going into the world to share God’s love.

By the Holy Spirit, the Word of God is being sown in our hearts and lives.

By the grace of God, we are growing into faithful Christ followers.

By the call of Christ, we are going into the world to share God’s love.

Matthew 25:35-40 is our church resume. We have been instructed to feed the hungry and give drink to those who are thirsty, to shelter the stranger, clothe the naked and visit the sick as well as those who are in prison.

We are giving a hand up not just a hand out by opening door to the community by way of training, preparing and demonstrating effective means to reach set goals. Our Bread for Days Ministry provides bread and sweets not only to those in need in our surrounding community but also to shelters, the homeless and college students.

We have been commissioned by God to do a specific work and that is what we do and will continue to do!
